Net Prizing

Monday September 15 at Mandarin Golf & Country Club

In addition to the prizes awarded to the top three finishers at every event and, in addition to the draw prize and the Closest to the Pin competitions, one Net Score Prize will be awarded at each event. A player with the lowest net score, across the entire field, will win one $50 TaylorMade/adidas Online Gift Card and one case of Mill Street beer.

Only those players that did not win an event prize, i.e. those players that did not place within the top 3 places of their Flight, are eligible for a per event Net Prize. In the event of a tie, prizes will be awarded based on Matching Cards.

Net Prizing: Net score is the player’s score after handicap strokes have been subtracted from the player’s gross score. E.g.: At the start of the Coppinwood event, a B Flight player’s Handicap Factor is 12.4. The player’s Course Handicap, from the blue tees is 14 (12.4 x 126 /113). Because the player is competing against others playing from different tee decks, an additional calculation has to be performed to create equity across the field. This second calculation subtracts the lowest rating of the tee deck used in the event from the rating of the tee deck played by that player.

Eg. the player’s gross score is 92. The player’s net score is 73: 92 [gross score] – 14 [course handicap] - 5 [tee deck rating difference] = 73.
