Women on Tour

There are two ways women can compete on Tour:

1. Women can play in one of the  competitive Flights (CH, A, B, or C). In order to compete in one of these Flights, six strokes will be added to a woman's Handicap Index to have them play in the correct Flight and from the correct yardages.

2. Women can play for fun in the Recreational Flight.

Maximum Handicap

A maximum handicap index is in place for all Flights. Players who are above this limit are welcome to join the Recreational Flight and move to a competitive Flight during the season, when their Handicap index drops below the maximum.

Flight Name Index
Champ. Flight up to 4.9
A Flight 5.0 – 8.9
B Flight 9.0 – 13.5
C Flight 13.6 – 25.9
Open Net Stableford Flight up to 25.9

Open Net Stableford Flight

Open Net Stableford Flight is for players with a Handicap Index of 25.9 and under.  All players will play from the B Flight tees, in the range of 6,000-6,400 yards and will tee off following the A Flight.

Players in the Open Net Stableford  Flight will compete in a Net Stableford format.

The season-long Order of Merit Race will be calculated based on points earned from the net stableford competition.

Net Stableford scoring is based a on a player’s net score, applied per hole, based on that player’s course handicap, in accordance with stroke allocation as per the course scorecard.

Points are allocated as below, based on net score, per hole:

Points Net Score relative to par
0 2 strokes or more over
1 1 stroke over
2 Same number of strokes
3 1 stroke under
4 2 strokes under
5 3 strokes under
6 4 strokes under

*Ties (same total points) after 18 holes in the Open Net Stableford flight will be decided by card matching based on the total points starting with the last nine holes.  If the players have the same total points for the last nine, points matching is repeated as necessary on the last six holes, last three holes and last hole on the back nine to determine the winner.  If the players are still tied, this entire sequence is repeated using total points for the front nine.

Recreational Flight

Anyone can join this group of golfers who will be teeing off after the C Flight, at each of the Tour events. The R Flight has been created to provide recreational/casual golfers with an opportunity to play some of the best golf courses in Ontario for FUN! Golfers in the R Flight will not be required to have a Handicap Index and can play from any set of tees they wish.

Golfers joining the R Flight will pay the Tour registration fee, will receive a Sponsor Gift bag, will pay the same event fee as the competitive players and will, for the most part, be teeing off in foursomes.  R Flight golfers will not be eligible for prizing, points and/or skins but will be eligible for sponsor discounts.
